DOCSF19 INNOVATION AWARDS:  Digital Orthopaedics Conference San Francisco Startup Competition 2019

This is a call for digital health startups using sensors and robotics who want to showcase their success before decision makers and healthcare leaders who are looking for new applications to drive into adoption.

The Digital Orthopaedics Conference San Francisco (DOCSF) aims to bridge technology and orthopedics by highlighting the success of innovative technology companies who can document successful applications of technology in the health care space.  Specifically, DOCSF19 will focus on the application of sensors and robotics to healthcare.

Requirements: Startups must be in the spaces of either sensors or robotics. Startups can be at any stage, but they must at least have an MVP with a target customer base identified.  We ask for a 250-word summary case study in order to evaluate applicants. The case study summary should include the following:

  • A brief background section
  • A concise statement of the problem
  • A clear description of how the problem was solved
  • The results with supporting data
  • An explanation of what was learned in the process

Award:  8 finalists will be selected to present their 30-minute case study to decision makers and healthcare leaders from around the country at the DOCSF conference.  In addition to presenting at the conference, each of the 8 startups will also be awarded access to the DOCSF faculty dinner the evening before the conference.  Attendees will include UCSF faculty members, C-suite healthcare leaders, innovative thinkers, and industry leaders.  All finalists will be featured on the DOCSF website and social media feeds.  The winner among the 8 finalists will be a featured guest on the podcast "Digital Health Today" with Dan Kendall, a podcast for innovators, leaders, and pioneers reshaping health and wellness.

Location:  The Digital Orthopaedics Conference will be held in San Francisco, CA on January 5th and 6th 2019, immediately before the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference.  DOCSF19 will be live streamed.
